It would be wonderful if the only reason I walked was for exercise,
but until there is a cure for breast cancer, I
will continue to walk to raise awareness and money to combat this terrible disease.
Last year your generosity helped me raise $6,662 for the Avon Walk
for Breast Cancer and $940 for
God's Love We Deliver.
I have signed up to walk in the NY 2008
Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and crew in Boston in 2008. I want to see what the
walk looks like from the other side. The crew members really make all
the difference, the cheering for the walkers as they go by, preparing
meals, directing traffic, just to name a few things.
I'm going to need everyone's help to beat my total from last year. Click here to make a secure
online donation to my NY
Avon Walk 2008.

HAND MADE HATS HELP WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER
I started knitting over Christmas 2007. My mom was recovering from heart
surgery and was becoming bored with bed rest. I purchased knitting
needles and wool and had her teach me how to knit.
It became an addiction.
I need to raise $1,800 to walk again this year and decided to
sell the hats to help raise funds. I only subtract the cost of the wool,
the rest of the money goes towards the walk.
You can purchase the hats through my store on
Etsy.com.

they're gone.

RECAP OF 2007 AVON WALK FOR BREAST CANCER IN NEW YORK
With your help, I raised $6,662 !!!!!
Thank you very much for your generous support of my walk.
Despite the heat, the walkers completed the 39.3 miles. We crossed 3 bridges
(Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, and George Washington Bridge)
and walked in 2 states (NY and NJ). This was the first time the walk
left NY city.
