Scruffy The Legend

I am lying on a bed. Charlie is on the floor. I call for him to get up on the bed with me. He politely declines by sitting next to me, but still on the floor. I say “c’mon get on the bed.” He finally does, reluctantly. He does not like to be on beds too much in summer; he likes to stay on the cooler floor. He is on the bed, but still a couple of feet away from my face. I say “Charlie come closer.” He wriggles a little closer, his face still half a foot form my face. “Charlie, even closer – come on.” He just moves his paws patting the bed, certainly saying that it is too hot to get this close. Finally, in a much louder voice, I say “Chaaaarlie – come here!” Now he suddenly climbs on my head, looks down at me and presses his wet nose hard on mine. His expression is definitely saying ” Is this close enough??? Huh? huh?
